The Great Salvation
Guest speaker Earl Cripe - Retired pastor, author and Bible commentator. Hebrews 2:3 - the great salvation is more than just being saved from eternal condemnation. We are justified by Christ's work, saved from our sins, and will, in the future, be saved from the very presence of sin. We are, however, expected to live a sanctified life here on earth for His glory.
Complacent about Sin
1 Corinthians 5 - The church today should not be complacent about sin, but rather separate itself from the world. We should live a sanctified life having a sanctified walk as light and salt in this world.
Concerning This Salvation
1 Peter 1:10 "Concerning this salvation..." There is no homeland security like that which you have in Christ. Being in Christ, you have a living hope, reserved in heaven by the power of the resurrection. Soldier on through the time you have here on earth as obedient children of the Father and be holy in all your conduct for He is Holy.
Possessing the Promise of God
Joshua 1 Be strong and courageous by the power of God's spirit. Joshua is a book of new beginnings. It is about an abundant life and claiming the promises of God, rather than being about eternal life.
He is Risen
Jesus is all about life. He counted the cost and paid the price for our life. He gives life to all who believe as well as those who experienced His healing as recorded in the Gospels.
