Sent By Jesus
In Luke 10, Jesus sends 72 people out on a short missions trip to proclaim the coming Kingdom of God. He had a dangerous mission for them, and He has an important mission for us today. We must go (not necessarily as vocational missionaries to other countries) and tell others about Jesus. The 72 people returned rejoicing at what God had done through them on their journey. Jesus tells them to not get caught up in the success of their mission, but to rejoice that they are in God's Kingdom (v. 20). We need to remember that all of our many blessings can't compare to knowing Jesus and belonging to him.
